I'm asked where I get weird book ideas. Like most writers, I go to the secret bunker I've dug beneath an old slaughterhouse.

Asked to change my Twitter background to help Haiti. Because, you know, Twitter backgrounds provide food and medical care.

You'll come to a book signing when H*ll freezes? I'm at Sam's Club at noon, and it's blizzarding... http://is.gd/6Lbyn

Imagine my surprise, watching television news last week, when this story about a guy living in the attic of someone's home hit. Imagine my further surprise when reader Cory Clubb sent me a nifty copy of the exact same story online.

If you've read The Unseen, you know the action centers around a weird group of folks calling themselves the Creep Club...who squat in the attics, eaves, basements and hidden spaces of homes.

If this guy's not already a member of Creep Club, I'm sure he's been given an invitation.

Not that there's a real Creep Club out there; it's entirely fictional.

As far as you know.

Oh, this story about the guy

Oh, this story about the guy living in the attic is almost harmless compared to the story of a Japanese man that lived in another man's closet for a full year. It was on all the major news agencies 1 year ago or so.
